Do I need specialist insurance to rent out my campervan?

Yes. Standard insurance does not cover hire use. You must have short-term campervan hire insurance to ensure full protection.

Does Just Kampers Insurance cover EU travel?

Yes. EU Driving Cover is available on certain policies, so check this before allowing hirers to travel abroad.

What happens if the hirer has an accident?

Short-term hire insurance includes Legal Protection, which covers you if you incur any out-of-pocket expenses after an accident where you’re not at fault. This cover includes: • Up to £100,000 of cover for hire/repair and legal expenses following accidents occurring in the UK, • Legal advice and assistance to help you pursue a claim for losses not already covered by existing insurance, • Help to claim compensation for injury or losses for you and any passengers, • A like-for-like replacement vehicle, wherever possible, to help you stay mobile if the accident occurred in the UK, • The option of having your repairs organised and funded for you.

Can I retain my camper if it is written off?
