About the Toyota HiAce Campervan
The Toyota HiAce (pronounced High Ace) was produced between 1989 and 2012 for the UK market and was well loved during its time. It’s now more popular in Asian/Australian markets, and the 2019 sixth generation HiAce was launched in the Philippines for the Asian and Australian markets.
In the UK, we’re most likely to see older models manufactured up to 2012, with the similar look to the Mazda Bongo. Available second hand for up to £25,000, they’re affordable for the predicted lifetime, which is up to 300,000 miles as reported by many owners. They’re not the most exciting to look at, but they do a job, and they do it reliably and well. For adventurers who want a reliable campervan that gives them space and good MPG without breaking down, then the Toyota HiAce is a fantastic choice.
