Fully kitted out for van life with 12 volt inverter, Truma hot air and water system, under slung LPG tank, huge solar panel, pull out bed, fridge and large garage area under the bed that fits 2 bikes, 2 boulder mats, 2 wet suits, paddleboard, climbing gear and other bits and bobs. Also have a surfboard rack on the side!
How long have I owned it, and how did I get it?
Owned for 3 years, bought it from a guy in Scotland and converted it myself (with a little help from my friends!)
Any interesting holidays and trips you have taken it on?
I’ve spent 6 months travelling Europe, including Norway and the arctic circle, then 2 months in Morrocco surfing, climbing the highest mountain in North Africa and trekking in the Sahara Desert.
Any other interesting bits about your Sprinter?
It is my happy place, to paraphrase Randy Crawford “Van life, it’s the only life I know!”
Do you own any other VWs?
Before my Sprinter ‘upgrade’, I owned a 2006 2.5 VW T5 SWB Campervan. I’ve also had a VW Polo, and a couple of Golf GTIs, one of which caught on fire!
